Directed from his own novel by award-winning author Ryu Murakami (Coin Locker Babies, Audition) and with music by Ryuichi Sakamoto, Tokyo Decadence takes an unflinching look at the moral and spiritual vacuum of the waning years of bubble-era Tokyo.

By day, an unassuming 22-year-old college student, by night a high-class call girl specialising in SM, Ai joylessly plies her trade against an anonymous backdrop of plush hotel rooms and gleaming skyscrapers. Haunted by memories of a long-lost lover, Ai increasingly struggles to keep body and soul together as both come under increasing duress as she caters to a succession of wealthy businessmen and coke-fuelled yakuza bosses driven to ever greater extremes to satisfy their jaded and perverse appetites.
