Aliens invade Earth as zombies rise from the grave in Ed Wood’s infamously "so bad it's good" sci-fi classic!
Introducing BFI's Blu-ray (Region B) release for 1957's Plan 9 From Outer Space. This release also includes 1955's Bride of the Monster.
Now newly restored by the BFI, this infamous sci-fi film continues to fascinate, long after legions of terrible B movies have been forgotten, for its stark refusal to conform to cinematic language or convention. The unique brainchild of one of cinema’s true outsiders.
Composed of wildly disparate plot elements, absurd performances, pathetic special effects, a complete lack of continuity and endless posthumously recycled shots of its ‘star’ Bela Lugosi (filmed for another movie), Plan 9 From Outer Space is a one-of-a-kind experience that acts as a blissfully unaware self-satire of 50s sci-fi cinema and a tribute to Wood’s admirable devotion to filmmaking, despite his questionable talents.
IMPORTANT NOTE: An all-region Blu-ray player is required to view this movie. Standard U.S. Blu-ray players will NOT read Region B discs. If you're looking for a reliable all-region player, we've got you covered!
