Introducing 88 Films' Limited Edition Blu-ray (Region B) release for 1948's No Orchids for Miss Blandish, the final cinematic feature to be directed by the wonderfully named St. John Legh Clowes, No Orchids for Miss Blandish is a crime fuelled British noir which stars Jack La Rue and Linden Travers.

A plot to rob a spoilt heiress of her jewels becomes complicated when two rival gangs accidentally commit murder. Desperation and a knee-jerk reaction turn the situation into a ransom for big bucks but will the tense and dangerous situation turn these wannabe gangsters into rich men or dead men walking? Shocking for its time, the movie became known for its strong themes of crime, violence and sex.
