Wayne Wang's audaciously stylish and visually mesmerizing film!

Introducing Arbelos Film's Limited Edition Blu-ray (Region B) for 1989's Life is Cheap… But Toilet Paper is Expensive. This classic from Independent filmmaking legend Wayne Wang (The Joy Luck Club) barrels through inspired genre deconstruction, guerrilla docu-fiction and fierce political jeremiad, all with a keen sense of humour and one of the richest visual palettes of the 1990s.

Exploding a seemingly simple premise – a nameless “cowboy” courier (Spencer Nakasako) arrives in pre-Handover Hong Kong to deliver a mysterious briefcase to a mercurial Mob boss (Legendary Hong Kong film director, Lo Wei) whilst becoming entangled with his femme fatale mistress (Cora Miao).

IMPORTANT NOTE: This set contains a Blu-ray (Region B) Disc. An all-region Blu-ray player is required to read Region B Discs. Standard U.S. Blu-ray players will NOT read Region B Discs. Looking for all-region players? We've got you covered
